MUZAFFARPUR – the place which is birth place of great Freedom fighter KHUDIRAM BOSE who was hanged at the age of only 18years on 11 Aug 1908.
The district is named after Muzaffar Khan (we still carry the burden of British Empire) the Revenue Officer of British Empire in 18th Century is also known as ‘ Land of Litchi ‘.
Historically in the age of Ramayana this place was part of “VIDEHA ” (land between NEPAL and North Bihar) under the kingdom of Raja JANAK .
Today this District has 2 Subdivisions , 16 Blocks , 385 Panchayat and 1811 Villages.
